Nice!

I've been loving mine for at least four years, 325is, maybe longer.

Have mine since summer 2008 and they have recently pushed the GH1 from my main listening station, where they share the place now with my Alessandro MS-Pro (modded). Somehow I always come back to the SR325i. I guess they fit to my ears/brain with their sound signature. I enjoy their mids so much....

I received my 325 Gold as a Christmas gift and I'm amazed about how accurate is your sound description.
I want to recognize and congratulate you again for such a great job that you have done with your comparisons and sound descriptions. Thank you.

  Congratulations on the new amp.
I own both the 325is/RS1i's, and they are both excellent headphones IMO.
Can't tell you they're better than the 325is, because you ears are different than mine, but I can say the RS1i' get way more head time than the 325is's. They both have their own great sound!
But being that you are right down the block from them, I  would at listen to them if I had the chance and see from there if you prefer them over the 325is while you have the opportunity.

I own both and I now I´m giving more time to the 325Gold with G "original Grado" pads.  I have my tube amp conected to my Asgard II.  It sounds very clear with transparency and details.

I was originally intending to go for the 'e' model and got a good deal on a used 'i' model. I like the sound with aftermarket pads. I don't like the chrome finish however. Too bling bling for my taste. lol This was a lucky find.

Edit: looks like I have the 'is' model, the chrome one.

I highly recommend these pads. These make a significant difference. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XYQ3PL1?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details

I woodied my SR325i's a while back. They still serve me well. They're like baby RS1's. :gs1000smile: The flat pads have deteriorated over time though so I'll have to get new ones.

I remember it used to be pretty hard to find an amp with enough current to drive them properly back in the day. Now I drive them through a dongle powered by my phone and they sound great! Oh, how times have changed. ☺️
