I did give them the recommended 5 mins. per side burn-in. What a difference! They're much better than they were right out of the box.

For a proper burn-in: never forget to flip them when they're half way done.

just figured i'd bump this thread with some more positive feedback on my 325i cause the board consensus of late seems again to be that they're too "harsh" and "bright" and i don't find that to be the case at all.

wonderful headphones.

I've been using my new RA1-HG for just two days, It replaces a PA2V2. As you can imagine the sound has improved, even to my sorry ears. I'm finding a significant increase in detail and naturalness. I'm very pleased with 325i/RA1 combo. FYI....for source I use a sony D-2 PCDP line-out.

I'm using a Headfive and I was using stock cables out of my shelf-stereo, sounded great. Just got the Blue Jeans LC-1 in the mail, plugged it in, and

These are the nicest cans I've ever owned. I'll be honest, I'm actually intimidated to use them because I want to keep them pristine, so for just 10-20 minute sessions, I'll pull out my SR-80s or SR-60s. Maybe I should get a pair of RS-2s or RS-1s, sell the SR-80s and then use my 325is as my beater can. I could never part with my SR-80s because I love them so much.

Is it me or does the 325i make you horny too?

I do have a question for you guys. What is a good amp to power these babies? I'm mostly going to use the amp for an mp3 player and my pc. Do I really need an amp for the 325i's?

I'm really getting into my 325i the past 2 days. So far mine have 400 hours of use, mostly burn-in only time...120 hours from music(at first), then 230 hours of pink noise and lastly 50 hours of "bass decade"( 1/3-octave warble tones at -20dBFS;20Hz~200 Hz).

In 3 weeks I should have C-pads to play with.

I think they have improved after the 400 hours. I can't say for sure. I'm loving the tight bass I'm hearing from bass heavy electronic music. I'm planning to give them lots of play time before my C-pads arrive so that my brain is burned in to them.

i'm not so sure i believe in burn in, so i've been listening as attentively as ever straight out of the box. about a week in and the only difference i've noticed were from source to source. the LC-1 cables also do sound a lot more warm to my ears than the stock cables i was using before.

as for amps. i haven't tested all that many, but i liked the way these sounded with the Headroom Portable Millet-Hybrid and the AE-2. I also really like how they sound paired with my Headfive. I really wanna see how they sound out of a Mapletree. I'm guessing that'll be my next upgrade when i get around to it. Probably won't happen for a few years, though.
