is there a way to widen that He560's soundstage?
I heard balanced would widen it (but im not sure if that makes it moreportable for my e12+e18 set, lol)

my first demo to grado was nice. I'n not gonna argue with design , but i found mids MIDS MIDS and bass to sound natural to me, until the driver touched my ear (the comfort issues..)

Oh look, there's a he-560 on bid on Ebay at $420..
Now where did i put my sniper rifle for Ebay....
What Dac are you using. Soundstage improves a good bit when I upgraded to multibit. Out of all my phones the 560's benefited most

Im still using E18 for the dac. I like the refined sound of it. pretty sure fiio claims it can do 24\92..

I really need to find something that can compete with home audio levels of DAC on portable level, but that sounds like impossible to me thanks to limitations of batteries.
again, recommendations would be grateful; Im selling my old gaming laptop for cheaps and that should give me some headroom that i can look on.

Mojo for portable. Probably the best currently. T1's really shine with a full desktop setup though. Your probably getting 70-75% of what these can really offer.

Probably not optimal to go with high-end headphones without desktop setup. Especially with planars like 560, you are going to need more current than what portable DAC/amps can output.
The only amp that drove my he500's was the 509.00 portaphile 627. Just so darn expensive for a portable

What I am hearing with my T1's and iFi iDSD is the difference of SQ with FLAC over 320 MP3. MP3's sound harsh in comparison and much less full. There are also sounds that were once buried in the background that now stand out.such as a slap bass string vibrating against the neck or a singer softly clearing their throat between lines. Simply amazing.

Both from the same master or different sources (just curious)
