Mine is 20XXX. But it looks like the old one

@iGrenade is it your T1 or have you gotten the pic from web?
Has the change officially approved?

It's my T1 that's coming in the mail.

Well somethings up.  Beyers web site no longer has a price for the T1 and the "add to cart" button is disabled and replaced with a details button..  The T1 site does say "completely redesigned transducers".  I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Sounds like the new 2nd edition T1 is slated for release at the end of the month. Jan Meier posted this new thread a couple of days ago:

The new T1's driver, it seems interesting to me.

The baffle frame looks much beefier. Also there is a rubber/plastic ring piece put at the end of the driver for dampening (similar to those goo of Grado?). I expect there will be a lot of people trying to mimic the V2 mod on their T1 V1.

Modding T1's baffle  must be careful, since easy to damage the voice coil.

Maybe can by new drivers from beyer directly ?

Compare to the version 1 driver, it looks to me the rubber/plastic ring piece at the end of the driver housing acts for most of the dampening in version 2. Perhaps it even serves as a small bass port.

The cable has changed too.
I'm wondering if anyone could measure Thd+n of old and new t1 at high frequencies.
It seems that they both have same thd at 500hz.

Well I'm getting a version 1.5 (with the driver and baffle change, but no detachable cable) of the T1 soon and I have a pair of v1 on hand too. I can give you guys a brief comparison if I hear any differences.

The pads are also different? The new version has memory foam pads and they can make a big difference in sound ( like Akg K702 and K712).
