No, the universals cannot be re-shelled as a custom. Although they are internally identical, they are completely separate products. The production process is completely independent for each product.

So I will be auditioning the TRIO which should arrive Monday! And have a good 4 days with it as the wife and kids are going out of town . My question is which tips do you guys req so i dont waste to much time tip rolling ! Or are the stock is best?

Personally the standard 64 foam tips are really hard to beat for both Trio and Fourte.

Friends, I know this must have been said too many times about the Fourte - on this thread and others and all around the internet, but these iems really are one of the best that I have tried. Bought them last week and I just can't get enough of them. Such crazy sound, I can not find anything missing in it. It has everything you need and in a perfect proportion. You need bass - it's a monster. I was told EE EVO does a great bass, but certainly not to this level. You need mids - it's sweet and crisp, as sweet as a freshly harvested honey. Treble has an excellent extension as infinite as it can get, transports you far far away. It resolves like a microscope - tiniest of details you hear them, feel them, enjoy them. The details will make you crazy. You will hear things you have never heard. It has an enormous soundstage - like a headphone, unimaginable staging. It reminds me of my HD800s.

It is very expensive, but it has to be. The joy in ears and mind and heart it feels is priceless. There are iems which do something better than other things but these, they do everything just right. There is no flaw that I can find in them, there is nothing which has been elevated/compromised. Everything is just as perfect as it can get. I do not know what can sound better than these or do I even need anything better. I think my search for the "this is it" iem is over. It's a different league. It's a beautiful thing like a collectible, a precious possession. Sometimes, I just stare at it and ask, how can you produce such beautiful sound.

I've never heard an IEM that can scaleup like these.They can keep up with a chord dave and linnlp12 TT.I am amazed at the detail retrieval and sense of space from the FOURTE.
