For the same RRP price… maybe 18S. But they are not. So 12t at usual pricing.

I recently demoed both at an audio store. I dont know if its because I couldnt quite get a proper fit with the 18 or what, but I enjoyed using the U12t a lot more.

Ya of course, I wouldn't at all consider buying something I didnt like. Anyway theres far from a consensus that the 18 is better.

18S is one of those rare cases where there's no consensus at all. Love it or hate it.

I personally want to try the A4s and see how it compares to Nio. Shouldn't be the most resolving one, but would be a good Custom EDC. DD+BA+Tia+APEX. :smirk:

ok, understood... U18S -> forget :rolling_eyes:
If you have the means, you should still try it. You never know if you’ll like it or not. People have different tastes. I for one respect the 12t, but I don’t love it. People like the 18t but I find it just decent. I still wanna hear the 18s and a few other 64 Audio IEMs. Unfortunately, my local shop doesn’t carry the entire line. They’re missing the 18s for some reason.

The U18S is a U12T with some extra meat
I have both here
But your ears will decide if you want the extra meat or not
Next there's more besides your ears
There are days I prefer U12T over U18S and visa versa
It's how you feel, the environment, emotions, the music
Now if I only owned one pair I wouldn't be even posting the above
Audio life would be a lot simpler ...

From all IEMs I ever tried I had to choose one… I couldn’t. 😇

thanks, appreciated your comment. actually I was looking for a very detailed IEM but with some good basses, and I got an opportunity for a used U18S at a really very low price (less than a used U12T), but from the comments I'm reading maybe I should go straight to the U12T....

Question:
I see you own:
iBasso DX300 & Mest Mk II
What Amp do you have ?
And a balanced cable for your Mest Mk II ?
