1000+ Head-Fier
I received the A18t yesterday but today I received this from 64audio lolz.
Don't say that or they will keep increasing the price range.Opting for rush order with 64 Audio is never a bad choice. After a week and a half wait with only the A3 to keep me company, I didn't realize how much I missed the sound of a pair of good IEMs until I hit the play on my WM1A with the A6t secure in my ears. Felt a look longer.
This is my first 64 Audio product with a Tia driver, but nothing could have prepared me for a single treble BA that sounds anything but. Well done 64!
Really liking the sub-bass emphasis even with the M15s as the rumble has always been something I felt missing from most BAs. Its not Phantom BA bass, but not anemic like the Zeus either.
As for the mids, phew got a mouthful about that: I'm not sure what kind of black Vitaly and the folks at 64 performed. They're always centre stage and are never lost among everything else. An intimate feel but without bringing it forward and having it possibly drowning out everthing else.
I find it hard to believe that the A6t is only $1299 because it definitely sounds like something on the level of the $1699 Phantom.
Haha if I hadn't gotten the Khan 2 weeks before I might have pulled the trigger on the A12t during the sale. Free faceplates + Rush Order for regular price is pretty tempting.Don't say that or they will keep increasing the price range.
I'm really happy with my A12t too. Sound nice with everything.

Depends, I mean it's currently about ~330 CAD more for the Canadian Govt to charge me. If I had another pair of TOTLs to tide over for the 3 weeks I would have waited. But sadly I didn't.It is always said that patience is a virtue, but in this case it is money saved.
I was really tempted on the N8 during this last sale. But I will wait the EE Legend's arrive. On paper and from short audition memory they had some kind of similarities. So have two with the same qualities at the same time, didn't feel good on my pocket.Haha if I hadn't gotten the Khan 2 weeks before I might have pulled the trigger on the A12t during the sale. Though 64 reporting the Rush Order as part of the price doesn't make me too happy since it means more taxes from the CBSA.....I got hit for $300 CAD for the A6t, so in hindsight even with the sale, I'd probably have gotten the A6t for fear of being hit.
Regarding their price range at regular prices? If there was a non DD model that wasn't the N8 at the $1700 price point or event a model at the $2500 price point I be game. I pretend the N8 doesn't exist, so the 12t is about 1.7 x the 6t and the 18t 2.3 x the 6t. There isn't that much of an improvement for that kind of pricing difference.
Regardless I'll give credit where it's due
Flavors of Tea Forte vs Flavors of Tia Fourte
I'm assuming one's cheaper than the other?
Manufacturing is a bit of a strong word here... most CIEMs are still handmade (except printing the shells).I find it odd that a lot of IEM companies manufacture in the United States such as JH Audio, 64 Audio, Empire Ears and others, while most of the DAP companies are not manufacturing in the United States.

The drivers are mostly purchased externally (Noble is one of the few that has proprietary drivers made for them), so the actual manufacturing is rather driver compositions and internal wiring
Ah fair enough, I didn’t know about that. I know noble also utilizes standard ones, not only proprietary onesJH Audio, 64 Audio, Empire Ears, Custom Art, Ultimate Ears, Jomo Audio and many, many more all have proprietary drivers made for them as well. They're all made by either Knowles or Sonion according to their specifications, just like Noble's are.
