@mvvRAZ and @aaf evo, You still enjoying your a18s? I thinking about pulling the trigger on them as my first custom. I’d love to demo them but there are no sample/tours at the moment. I’m a nurse and working tons, and figured I’d treat myself. Also how’s the soundstage compare to the z1r?

Oh absolutely still enjoying them :D

Raz can help you with the Z1R comparison as he owns that IEM too.

They both have really wide soundstage presentations. The A18S might just be the widest I’ve heard along with the Fourte, the Z1R would be very close behind those

if you enjoy the Z1R though I’m very confident in saying you’d also like the A18S as they share quite a few things in common

I’ve been hesitant to get customs partly due to commitment. I also never believed customs could sound much better than a universal. I’m ready to see what it’s all about and be proven wrong. 64’s discount came at a great time.

I said I'd never go custom, since my first one I haven't bought a universal since.... and I've bought 4 customs total, whoops.

Custom all the way. Since I got my first one, no universal is comfortable anymore. No matter the size, tip, fit. There's always something wrong.

well just pulled the trigger on the a12t, went with totally transparent shell and faceplate I just saw the letter that 64 will be shut down until May 4, so I probably wont have them until June. Another sad note, as a canadian getting hit with our terrible exchange rate and 14% at the border... please a moment of silence for my wallet. if anyone wants to help please check out the ad for my trio in the classifieds.:beerchug:

basically this, i'm pretty excited to see how it looks in person, I wanted the wood plates but I'm already spending way to much money and I wanted to be able to see everything. I was thinking of just doing one side but the lack of symmetry bothered me

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. From 64 just now...

On Thursday April 2, 2020, our state’s Governor, Jay Inslee, extended his order shuttering non-essential businesses. The shutdown of our production facility will remain in effect until midnight on May 4th, 2020, unless extended by the governor

Talking about a clear design, how about half and half? :) Courtesy of my sister, I was going to go with something a lot less entertaining. I call them the Yin and Yang
Btw, are these the recessed connectors? I'm confused

Edit: Somehow I didnt notice the weird smidge on the black one when dojng the shooting -.-

I've spent years on the Universal only train, but after getting my first custom, I don't think I can go back. Universals have the benefit of better resale value (which was why I went universal) , but customs are just so much more comfortable. I didn't realize how different it would be until I tried my first one. Of course, I wouldn't blind buy a custom either.
