Anybody know why 64 Audio's shipping is so high? $39 is the cheapest. For a light weight, small IEM box? Maybe I'm spoiled from Amazon Prime 2-day free shipping...
insurance? It is an expensive item

Could be, but it looks like they ship signature required which I thought negated the need of insurance?

Nope, it can still get lost in the mail. I very much doubt they make money off of shipping...

FWIW...

Any android DAP recommendations to use with the Fourté? Currently looking into the Cayin N5ii, Onkyo DP-X1A, or Fiio X7 Mark II.

The N5II sounds killer with Fourté.

If I didn’t like the Fiio X7ii DAP with the A18t, would the DX200 be a better pairing?

Mojo is currently my favorite with A18t, but I just hate having all these wires plugged into my phone with it.

Yep that’s why I dislike my Mojo and ordered a Cayin N5ii instead!

I ordered the Tia Forte's yesterday. First of all, I want to thank all the contributors to this thread. It's been really informative for me, and having never heard the TOTL IEMs, the impressions everyone has shared have been invaluable in helping me make my decision. Does anyone have any impressions of pairing the Forte's with the Sony 1Z?

You have to be more specific, what didn't you like about X7ii pairing, assuming tonality? With DX200, you have options with different amp modules where the default amp1 has more "analytical" reference sound which going to make your iems sound brighter. AMP5 is the warmest one, so it will smooth things out. I described here different DX200 amps, you will find it helpful.

I found the mids a little recessed in comparison to my Mojo, and the soundstage wasn’t as wide as the Mojo either. I like forward lower mids, helps vocals a lot. It was also a little too bright with cymbals.

Waiting to receive N5ii for review, but others have mentioned it being brighter in comparison to i5. If you find Fourte to be already on a brighter side, this pair up can push it a bit over the limit, though I'm only speculating and won't be able to tell you for sure until I test it. Just please keep in mind, we all have different sensitivity to high frequency tolerance ;)
