Actually it's all printed 1 of 500. I initially thought it was serialised until I saw my dealer having 1 of 500 too.
That is interesting they chose to write it that way. Maybe it is just easier for whatever reason, but itnwould be quite funny if they intended to do that so they can make 1000 "1 of 500s"

I do not think 64 audio would do that but it is an amusing thought.

I also feel it is more special to the owner when it is numbered in sequence throughout to 500, just one opinion. Otoh though certain numbers may throw potential buyers off as some asian folks may dislike the number 444 of 500.

(There arent 4s on some elevators in hong kong for this reason)

4 sounds like death in cantonese so some chinese people are superstitious to that.

I was thinking “don’t post your number” so they can track it back to whoever released it too early — like the good old days when one could get Oscar screening versions of movies before they hit the theaters.

Oh really? My surprise shows I'm a newbie at this as I would have expected it shows the real number. On the other hand, if they're all made in 1 batch then which one is the first and the last really? The 1st one produced might be 500th at quality control and the 250th being sent out.

EDIT: I'll take number 13 for half price! 😁

A little off topic but I bought 3 day old TH-909s for 25% of retail cost.
I felt like I was committing a crime so I asked the seller if they knew what these were worth.
They said “Yes. I just want them gone”
I think I know why 😅

We consciously chose to print it that way (saying 1 of 500 rather than 1/500 or 1 out of 500) for a number of reasons; mainly the printing process for theses sleeves could have an entire story of their own with how complex and laborious it was to make these so special. Made right here in Portland Oregon, the sleeve is a combination of card-stock paper, which is dyed our special green color (matched to the green of the copper faceplate patina) on both sides so when you look at the inside of the sleeve and along the boarders it is the same color. From there the textile is married to the front of the card-stock and hand pressed in that white lettering. Each sleeve is genuinely unique because of the textile pattern and weight of the lettering.

In a word, craftsmanship.

@64Audio

Purely out of curiosity, how soon do you think the Fourte Blanc will be completely sold out?

You’re asking a vendor this question??
If it was me I’d be like “Tomorrow! Better act quick!!” 😉
