How do you like the little Xuelin DAP golov17? What are the good points? Bad points?
HaHaHa, little taste of your own medicine from the stuff you send and temp me with:evil: The main reason I have stayed away from the wagon train:rolleyes: I do admit I live my rich fantasy life through Mim, Pinky, Benj and all those guys who obviously have more disposable cash than I in the Portable Rig thread!
Me, too

Good to know. I'll give it a pass, then.
My upcoming DAP is Revamp Nuansa P1. It's the DAP formerly known as Teriplayer G2. It'll have a multibit DAC and should have improved fw over G1. I'm excited!
Beyond that, I'm curious about Lotoo Pico. If it's a decent price, I'll get one just to try...

Hey, I don't normally post here but wanted to share thoughts of a pair of headphones that really impressed me. Don't really have the time to write a full indepth review but here's a quick impression. My experience with hi-fi equipment consists of the FAD Pandora Hope VI, FAD Fi-Ba-ss, Fostex th-x00 PH
The Vie Shair is a wireless pair of headphones that was on Kickstarter, marketed as a socialable pair of headphones (They can receive and send audio between vie shair headsets). To me they represented a cheap way ($200) for planar magnetic headphones that featured some fancy Yamaha audio codec and are made in Japan.
Anyways to get the negatives out of the way, they aren't very featureful wireless headphones; they don't have any play/pause or track change buttons. They are also do, not have a built in mic and although have an aux port, do not work passively. They are also made of creaky plastic. The soundstage sounds a bit small, but I imagine that is common with bluetooth headphones.
The positives: They sound Great! These are detail whores; they are on par if not slightly better than the FAD Pandora Hope IV. They have a balanced sound and have the most impressive treble that I have heard, very detailed, shimmery treble that never comes across as sibilant. They don't isolate especially well but do have a nice bit of sub-bass, more than expected. As mentioned before, they do not work passively, they have to pass through the in built amp but if you plug into a decent DAC, the soundstage opens up and then you really have a detailed sound that puts the FAD PHVI and th-x00 to shame.
So yeah throughly impressed.

P1 is the G2, the multibit version. The name just changed. The one I have is the G1, which isn't multibit.
And as golov17 pointed out, it's from Indonesia.
I'm baaaaaaaaaaaack

Funny story, Labsters.
You know how we've discussed if products would be worth it to try and salvage if we dropped it in a toilet full of our own diarrhea?
Well, let's flip the script and talk about pee. Yup, dropped my phone in a toilet full of urine. Not gna lie, I tried to save it. Had it not been my beloved (and recently replaced) LG V10 I would have probably let it go to piss. Pulled the battery, dried that sucker as much as I could, then popped a battery back in and fired it up. Sadly, although it still works I can't use the charger (works with external battery charger though) and the battery indicator is fried.
Long story short, I broke down and bought the V20, and man oh man is it sweet. Not a giant leap forward from the V10, but enough for me to say I enjoy it a bit more. The screen is more resolving and detailed and the processor is faster.
So I still have my V10 and can use it for music and movies. I just have this underlying faint smell of urine, damn
You know what they say, it's better to be pissed off than pissed on.

I to have the V20, it is a great phone and sounds awesome! That sucks that you just got the V10 just recently but at least you stepped up.
