WS55 dont have the same amount of bass as the stock pads.
i'm not sure if u should get them.
 
i heard ppl recommend k518 pads if u wanna keep the bass as stock.

yes, comfort wise, WS55 are the best. i can't bare with the stock pads. they are really painful to my ears.

I love bass, but the whole sound signature is more important to me. So if there is more gain than loss and the bass is definitely still existent then I would be fine. I find the stock pads to be very comfortable. My ears don't sweat and I can wear them for long periods of time.

I really like the sound with the HM5 pads, but there's something missing. I feel like this has to do with them being over-ear pads on top of on-ear pads. So if the WS55s have a similar type of sound, but they're on-ear they might be perfect. Where's the best place to buy them?

WS55 pads are much more balanced.
also, They transformed my S500 from on ear to over ear.(my ear size) 
i haven't try the HM5 so i can't comment on them.

Do they fit snugly? Or are they kinda loose? On the actual headphone I mean.

They look fine and fit good. unlike the HM5
You won't need any modification to install them.

Oh right forgot to answer your question. Never heard the LPs but have auditioned the m80s at radio shack and these S500s can more than hang with them in almost every category.

My modded to high heavens set of S500s for me is better than the m80s, exact for the looks of course. :wink_face:

If it wasn't because the drivers are glued to the frame on both cans, I would have swapped them already.
Would be fun to have vmoda with S500 drivers..

Haha hype but still I knew you guys will love them as they require no modding and sound so balanced and more open that I now have my new s500 burning non stop for over 5days instead of selling them.
They have to be ready as they are going up against a Titan in the es700 so battle coming soon haha!
