Taking delivery of a Cabernet DHT 300B end of week. Which driver tubes are you using?
Very nice! I use MELZ 1578 and swap between the Elrogs and Perryman 45 with Black Plate 6L6GC and GZ34 metal rectifier.

Nice, have you found a reliable source for the MELZ?
Well, I've stocked up over twenty pairs and there are some sources whom provide although this is more temperamental for various reasons.
The easiest thing to do is post a WTB ad and interact between the multiple 6SN7 threads.

So, I just tried the Neutral Mitch filter. I've always ignored it, using the bass extension one or nothing at all. I don't really care about neutrality, or at least I didn't think so. It's actually a fairly different presentation for the TCs. I'm not sure what I think about it, but that filter is less subtle than I thought before.

I agree completely, the bass is tight and powerful not boomy

I was also completly blown away with the filters from Mitch for the first 2-3 Weeks. Since then I am back to no filter. But...thruth to be told I find that even a simple oversampling has negative effect for me regarding the sound. It becomes somewhat soft, less lifelike. Also, my system is optimised for NOS playback, that can also play a role.

Actually finding the right position of the headphones is more crucial I think.

Plus I ordered just now the superconductor (using now the Forza top modell). I am curiois.

the TC is tough to judge because it varies so much given the set up one chooses ..that said I think the filter is an upgrade to an already great HP though not as dramatic as the sr1a and the ca-1a

The first track of this album is just magical with the AB-1266. Very moving indeed.

The AB-1266 are definitely worth a system optimization around them, especially for those aiming to use a single hp. They scale in a seemingly limitless way, so it is up to the user choosing where to stop.

The Superconductor cable is (in my opinion) a major asset within such optimization, having a comparable impact of choosing a synergistic source or amp.

Completely different kind of piece, but the first track of this is just amazing with TC, especially with neutral filter. The song kicks in @ 1:40 and the best part starts at 3:20, reaching eargasm 3:40.

I didn't find any Lorna Shore references so I thought I could link this to our metal heads. This an amazing band to listen to with TC. Super fast, melodic, well mastered... It's amazing how much beauty our brains can process per second if it's just presented with proper separation. I've smiled so much.

Not meaning to go too far OT but:

when i searched for this in qobuz and tidal under “silence” in album name nothing came up. i found it by adding todd gustavsen.

Any idea why? Have i missed something?
