Now if only Hifiman offered a multi year warranty to give consumers more confidence about making such a costly purchase from a company with such an iffy reputation for quality.

May be they can offer on lease same like what we have with cars now in Europe.

Very intriguing review!

After reading the sound part, I thought it would be good to mention this, the treble part is quite subjective, I personally think that RE-2000 has quite a good treble

I reckon the treble, with the bi-flange or similar narrow-bore tips, is excellent. It seems not to be so great with the included tri-flange tips or Complys. I think this is due to those tips having a long bore. I've noticed some IEMs don't match well with long-bore tips of any kind.

Totally agreed!

The only tri-flage IEM I use is ETY ER4-XR, anything else I seem to prefer with a single flanged tip, using SpinFit tips for RE-2000 and RE-800, sound and comfort is really good this way!

I haven't heard Andromeda with which you comapre RE2000, but I find RE2000 to sound really nice!

Writing my review for RE800 as we speak, then it will be time for RE2000! I've been using RE2000 more than you'd expect throughout the past few weeks.

What tips have you tried them with? I don't know how much I would use them with the stock tips, because double flanges really hurt my ears, but with spinfit, the fit is really nice for me.

Even when I took most recent photos of them, I preferred to use spinfit tips because this is how I use RE2000. I also state this in my review, I consider that HiFiMAN shouold probably add Spinfit tips to the package, they are not very expensive and they really help RE2000 and RE800 get better comfort.

I feel that the rather rounded surfaces do them a favor, the only part that might become uncomfortable for some users being the larger size of the housings, which might be because of the driver used and to get the sonic performance they do

Will have RE2000 review soon on Head-fi, but for now just posted it on my blog. Didn't realize how much I'm going to get attached to this latest HFM flagship. Pairs up great with everything, don't even mind my Note 4 phone, but it's exceptional with WM1Z (on loan).
