From their support page they say it supports up to a 2TB Micro SD card. However the largest Micro SD card size currently available is 512GB.

I have a 400GB card and it runs great. 400GB is currently the best value currently going for $100 at Amazon US site:

https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-400G...qid=1544115001&sr=8-3&keywords=512gb+micro+sd

The 512GB that is available is made by PNY and goes for $289.00 USD on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DGT2DL5?aaxitk=F6zQx-al47zoYsGljuyW4g&pd_rd_i=B07DGT2DL5&pf_rd_p=3ff6092e-8451-438b-8278-7e94064b4d42&hsa_cr_id=9601890880901&sb-ci-n=productDescription&sb-ci-v=PNY Elite 512GB MicroSDXC Card, Up to 90MB/S – (P-SDU512U190EL-GE)&sb-ci-a=B07DGT2DL5

That's a big premium to pay for another 100GB of space. As the market creates larger card capacities you should be able to upgrade if you require more space.
thanks

Is anyone seeing this album track display issue when they use the R3 to stream Tidal albums? The first picture is taken from July of this year with an older firmware level. The second picture is from today - December 6, 2018.

The older firmware (picture #1) used to display both the track name and the artist name. Now with the latest R3 firmware v2.01 I have running the album art view only displays the artist name. (Picture #2)

This only happens when I am streaming Tidal albums. If I am playing my local FLAC files then the album art screen correctly displays both artist and track name.

Is basic MicroSD music playback(FLAC, ALAC etc) and Tidal connectivity/playback working well on the R3 now?
I just want it as a digital transport into my Mojo.
(would prefer Deezer but one can wish)

Cheers
If anyone's selling one PM me
So far, all of the above are working perfectly for me. I am on the latest firmware and have had no issues at all. My Tidal connection and playback have been rock-solid as is the ability to add or delete from my Tidal albums and playlists.

I have read that the shanling m0 has a better sound quality than r3 p true?
has anyone made comparisons with the sound m0 and r3?
I have both and based on SQ only, my choice is the M0, however the Tidal capability of the r3 makes it a good choice for exploring new music in a portable format. IMO, the M0 provides a "big" sound that seems to be more expansive than that of the r3. It also powers my less sensitive phones without seeming to to loose coherence. Just seems to be a more effortless presentation with more headroom. The M0 easily wins the award for stealth!

but combined with the mojo who plays the r3 or m0 better?

If you plan to use the R3 or M0 as strictly a transport with the Mojo, I wouldn’t expect much of a difference in Sound Quality.

At that point you may want to compare other functionality like the user interface and the connectivity options (digital outs, BT, DNLA, AirPlay, Tidal, etc).

I have been using the R3 as transport for the Mojo for half a year, and playback works for all files I threw at it, MP3, FLAC, ALAC, HiRes, haven't had any issues.
I really like the screen and form factor, the mechanically robust HiBy coax cable, and generally also the UI is good, even very good.
One thing that Iwish HiBy would finally get sorted out is the shuffle function, which does not work as expected (not random, repeating the same songs) and another minor improvement I wish for is a larger menu bar (the "All - Files - Albums - Artists - Genre" line) since I find it a little hard to hit the right spot on the screen an often unintentionally start the top song in the list below.

But neither of them keeps me from truly enjoying the R3-Mojo pair!
Will be going on an international trip again on Sunday and the AudioQuest NightOwl and the Mojo-R3 soundbrick will be in my carry-on for sure! :L3000::L3000:

Yes, Hiby, please fix shuffle play. I also keep hearing the same songs every time from a list of 160, while others I know are on the list are never played.
