I already ****ed a pair of bang & olufsen and fight a tinnitus since then..I accidentally turned on PO out mode on my XBA N3 which are 32 ohms and 107 db sensitivity rated, via 3.5mm out with high gain for one second. What are the chances that I could damage my earphones this way?
I have checked in specs of my iems and they have 100mw power handling. So, hiby r3 is rated at 56+56 mw with high gain and that means that my earphones May be damaged?I already ****ed a pair of bang & olufsen and fight a tinnitus since then..
Wrote 1000 emails to hiby to remove that function in the drop down menu...
My girlfriend also had this accidentally but she uses quite high impedance headphones so the impact was just a few hours ear ringing and no damage.
So the chance to really **** up your gear and ear is high.. I switched to balanced then.. There is no lo for balanced..
They would be marked for power handling per earpiece, so that's 56mW. That said I've reminded HiBy to make the warning box that should pop up whenever the LO button / menu item is tapped working again...I have checked in specs of my iems and they have 100mw power handling. ....thread killer....
There's a US distributor (Musicteck), and anyone buying from them or the retailers they distribute to in the US has full local support...Thought of buying R5 but... finally decided NO.
Unless Hiby fixes their quality control issues and start supporting in USA, no one will buy from here after reading these No Support stories (wait... you need to send it Asia on our expenses to get the product repaired).
Proud owner of 3.5 mm headphone jack broken R3.

It does, can you give me your purchase link? service@hiby.com may have made a mistake.Wait Joe, Amazon doesn’t qualify as a US supplier? Why should I be tied to any exclusive vendor to expect support?
Really, the ship to us far away and wait aspect is just the last jab in a sense. I’ve read this thread through, and the 392 pages of discussion don’t focus on the good side of the R3.
I stated it earlier, I shouldn’t need a degree of any sort or be an audiophilic genius to purchase and enjoy a product. The R3 is not well “polished” for general sale.
