Interesting trace design for something that doesn't need cohesive length (Although from appearance they weren't going for that) for data timing, not sure what that Engineer was thinking.

I can only guess they were trying to improve control over as much of the diaphragm surface area as possible.
Perhaps the goal was to keep as much 'active' area as possible as opposed to unpredictable 'passive' areas that may add negative 'sluggish' characteristics.

Mostly through drinking lots of coffee and checking ebay every 5 minutes instead of working.

2x 70mm Sony XB1000 drivers. These are for sale if anyone is interested. I don't have any shells to transplant them into unfortunately.

Yeah I was pretty surprised myself. Sometimes it isn't the size that matters. I mean, I have a daughter.

Lol... I live 5 minutes away from Höchst
Although I've never seen the factory since it sits inside a MASSIVE chemical industrial estate that seems to have it's own border patrol.
Small world.

Was going to post a picture of some Denon AH-D950 drivers, 50mm diamond evaporated...
but I opened these up and found a modding disaster from what I assume to be the previous owner. I could go on for a while about this but best to not....
How about a front shot?
Anyone got a stock Denon AH-D950 to throw up in here?
I'm going to start asking sellers if their stuff has been modded ....
