Was just looking at the X3 listed specs on that page and they are showing 8 Vp-p output.  For some reason I thought I had seen that listed as 4 Vp-p somewhere else. 8 Vp-p should mean that even higher-impedance headphones like the Sennheiser HD650s should be pretty happy with the X3's power output?

That's the suggested impedance load range you should use with the X3 (unless you are going to use a more powerful external amp with it).

my audiobook reader of choice is my sony a865. it has a podcast directory and can resume both music and podcast independently \o/  
something i would really love to see on the X3.

I somehow never thought to stick an audio books into a podcast directory. That sounds like something that might even work on rock box or something....

Hmmm. HDTracks only sells to US residents. I once managed to buy an album from them using PayPal but now they check ip addresses (I suspect) and refuse to sell to non-US ip addresses.

i don't think they did anything to the EQ? Since it's mostly bug related fixes..
but i hope not! X3 is already quite warm, and i prefer more neutral sounding >_<

I think that bass was increased approximately two steps in EQ .
I'm not sure, however, in my ears, it is.
