Thanks. I checked one supplier's website where there is a local store not far from where I live and the site only listed 32GB as its largest class 10 SDHC card. There are one or two other suppliers so I'll check them out.

I'm currently listening to the WAV "Fly From Here" - yet again - and so far it's been - dare I say? - perfect. I wonder if again it's my imagination but I think it sounds even better than before. I couldn't be happier.

I was thinking of buying an X5 or the X3 II - and I might still do that to get the native DSD option, as I'm a real SACD fan. If I do, it's unlikely to be because of any disappointment in the X3's sound quality however.

I've just checked another local supplier's website and it has SANDISK Ultra 128GB SDXC class 10 cards in stock at -wait for it! - NZ299.00 !! That's more than I paid for the X3 !! The equivalent 64GB cards are NZ$149.00. I think I'll be looking around for a sale somewhere. "Fly From Here" has just finished and it never missed a beat (literally).

yeah that's kinda the prejudice/expectation i'll be bringing into the shootout. and with the deal i got on the E12 we're talking almost a $100 price difference, so the C5 has to overcome that as well. we'll see how it goes.

I've got both plus E12DIY and E12A.  E12A's getting all the love, all the love...

To you, maybe. I definitely find them worth the cost and have already purchased two for my X5 and am thinking of getting another for my DX90.

Agree with that perhaps earlier 2014 they were expensive, but now they are so cheap, technology deprices so quickly nowadays

Well if you have that kind of money to spend on SD cards then sure... Other people have rent to pay and food to buy.

Okay so tell me this then guys... I just bought a Samsung EVO 64gb micro SD card for £27 which I'm very happy about. The 128gb equivalent of that card costs £88, that's over 3 times more expensive! Why?? Its double the storage space so it should be just double the price surely?

New tech is almost always more expensive due to increased cost associated with production, but as mentioned cost does decrease fairly quickly these days.

When they go below $50.00 I'll bite. I just bought 2 64GB for $50.00 Sandisk Ultra. It take 2 seconds to swap a card.

I bought a 128Gb card when they were more expensive than the player. Luckily, I had the money, but I sympathize with the guys who find the cards really expensive still. You can't find a 128 card around here anymore, they sell out so fast. But I've got an extra 30Gb on my card right now, so I'm not too worried.

Now that there is some competition for Sandisk, (I think everybody has a card now) I imagine the price will start to drop. Give it a bit of time for production to ramp up. Consider that I can regularly find 64gb cards in the $30-$40 range, I agree that it isn't worth paying +$100 (the average cost here in Canada).
BTW I have seen PNY cards for $80 at TigerDirect, but that is with some kind of bundled rebate BS.
