Usually I think mp3 uses less battery life. But I've heard if you were using WAV you actually save more battery life than even mp3
.

I say don't bother with APE.....who uses that anymore? FLAC and ALAC support are all good. Any time I've come across APE files, the first thing I do is convert them to FLAC.
It's still a nice feature to have. I mean if it really saved enough space and still had similar battery life I'd be likely to convert my files on the device (not my actual files) to APE to benefit from the saved space. Although I agree with you I don't see it as a requirement at all. But it shows you their dedication and support as a whole.

It'll be a cold day in hell with flying pigs filling the skies before I use WAV on a DAP.![]()
That day is coming soon then lol. I'm gonna be doing the switch to WAV when the space becomes available and cheaper. I feel the sound is better so.
I use 24/48 WAV on Rocoo BA, love it. 32 GB is plenty for your HD albums. Unless you use your portable sources at home or you are constantly on the go there is really no reason to need more than 32 GB.
We can get 64 SD and microSD relatively cheaply right now.
I use a 64GB card in my Studio V. I have about 2,500 FLAC files and it works great
.
Good on you, if I was in your case the navigation task would be a nightmare for me.
lol not really. I have everything set up via the resource menu. So everything is pretty much how I want it. I mean not as particular as playlists but the files that I wanted are all in the folders I put them in. So its setup like playlists for me. The best way to access music IMO.
Sorry not now because the firmware still not the final version , and the Soc will working in different speed ( up to 600MHz) so I can't answer your question now
Yeah you have a point there lol. That is one thing I really like about the DX100. Even if I forget where I put a track I can do a search and pull it up and pinpoint what folder it is in or I can just play it directly.
