. Clean the pots. Deoxit.

I haven't tried that yet; though I have cycled the knob full travel for about 5 minutes...

Tube amps they are something spacial,
unfortunately the tubes cant hold for long period of time.
do the unbalance goes from the amp or from the headphones?

The headphones are fine, and work great with an SRD7Pro, an SRM-252S and an SRM-007tII. The problem is the left and right channels of the SRM-T1 do not track together when the ganged knob is turned.

I inhale the remain of this partials after removing the pads (no vacuum used ).
I don't know how to restore the front and the back mesh, don't know which material to use.
s-l1600.jpg

the mesh from new pads distort the sound on them, the new pads too (I tried ep-507), not tryed ep-234 (for 202 303 404) becoase they expensive
and again the price for this pads rise, I bough my pair from some japanies seller for $64 and now they double the price
I still search for the cheaper offer, not like so much the ep-507 feels too sintetic

Inhale??
Well as I mentioned, the lambda NB i got was dead on arrival, so i didn't have to do the foam cleanup. I left them on 48 hours but the sound was unbalanced and very low volume.
Luckily with the Σ NB, because of its front mounted drivers, the foam that deteriorated was mostly stuck to the mineral foam, which i was able to remove and take off the black bits.
For some reason the ΣNB fit better than the lambda NB, not sure why. Maybe the depth issue, which is non existent with the ΣNB (especially without the mesh)
In saying that, the round sr5NB w/ 007 pads is much more comfortable. And the sr-XmkIII drivers are not too shabby.
So perhaps endgame for me will be one of the round ones, the cheaper James Bond one.

Maybe you have to set the "balance and offset" potentiates.
I know only about my srm-1 from this post https://www.head-fi.org/threads/stax-srm-1-mk2-re-cap.648596/page-2

aware that this information is about another energizer (srm-1)
Post A:
There should be two pots per channel, one marked balance and the other one marked offset. To adjust them you need a multimeter set to DC volts and you insert the probes into the Stax socket. To adjust the balance you put probes between the + and - outputs for that channel and adjust for 0VDC. Now to adjust the offset remove the probe from the - output and connect it to ground (i.e. anywhere on the chassis, including the grounding post in the back) and adjust for 0VDC. Now repeat for the other channel. While you can do this with the amp cold it is best to do it when it is running at its regular operating temperature as heat is a factor here. The Stax pinout can be found all over the place.

Post B:
To set the DC offset you first set the meter to 100V or more DC. Then you put the red and black probes in the+ and - sockets for each channel and adjust the balance pot for that channel (which is marked on the PCB) for 0VDC. Once that is done then you remove the black probe from the - output and connect it to ground. Now you adjust the offset pot for 0VDC as well.

Stax Pinout: (Found somewhere on Head-Fi)

the credit goes to @spritzer as always =D and to @spaceace1014 for his post {I set my srm-1 to the right offset thanks to them}

Again I not interested about Srm-t1 offset (or balanced) try to search in google or here https://www.head-fi.org/threads/stax-srm-t1-repair-re-cap-mod.796058/page-2

be aware that you working here under high voltage!

I understand the dual function of the volume knob. It's just a PITA to have to use both hands every time I adjust the volume. The channel imbalance is not static between the channels; it changes every time I move the knob...

One possibility: are you using the volume control at a low setting, e.g. around 8-10 o'clock? This is where volume controls frequently have imbalances, and they can change as you change the volume. Usually, volume controls track the best beyond 12 o'clock. If this is the case, the only solution is to use a source with a lower output, or else insert a volume attenuator in line. However, if you are getting imbalance at a high volume setting, then either cleaning the control or turning up the volume all the way (which takes it effectively out of the system) and using another volume control elsewhere in the system. If you can get a replacement pot from Stax then you can retain the balance function, since it is a custom Alps RK27 pot made for Stax (basically two co-linear single pots with concentric shafts, one 1/4" and one 1/8" in diameter) that AFAIK is not for sale elsewhere, but otherwise any replacement would lose the balance function, plus you would have to replace the volume knob as well.

Not sure what you mean by "tubes can't hold for a long period of time." The tubes in the SRM-T1 are run at about 55% of maximum rated power and can likely last 10,000 hours or more before needing replacement.

How l300ltd compare to l700 ?
I know someone that sale l300ltd for $570 used (less then 1 year) do you recommend to take the risk with used part ?, I not afraid to try an used part, but still it could be a risk.
*I plan to wait several years and buy the l700 mk2, hop with the same price.
and the only amp that I have is srm-1, can l300ltd amp with this energizer well ?

You can get a brand new l300ltd with the price of $500 from China (like Taobao). And I recommand you spend more $130 to get the ear pad from l700.

can Koss Esp950, pads fit?
*I really think it Koss pads bigger then Stax so Koss headphone's driver is bigger then Stax (?)

can you explain me how this Chinese site works?

Taobao is like Ebay.
L300ltd is really similar to l700 even before changing the pad, it's fine if you don't want to change it.

any difference to the treble after such a mod?
300ltd is the same driver as 700 but with l300 pads. dont know about the cable.
but replacing the pads will cost you near to l700 price

404ltd is the last version of 404... so I know that I dont know how its copare with l700,
I had 202 and I hated them !!!, I lost my hope with stax heaphones after sr-202
