Well, that explains it then. Missed the start by 2 years.
I did not join eBay 25 years ago, but the coupon DID work for me!

Didn't work for me -- tried on a couple different purchases.

I joined eBay in 1998, did not receive an email, and as I said the coupon worked for me.

haha
After using the coupon yesterday, I did get the email from eBay an hour ago!
Since it is a 1-time use coupon, email arrived too late to matter...

I just received an email giving me the $25 off coupon. It stated that it was because I'd been with EBAY since they started 25 years ago. I do remember making my first purchase that year. So that might clarify why only some folks are eligible.
Worked for me

Amazon also has them for $499 if you'd rather utilize the ease of Amazon and their easy returns system if any issues or you simply don't like them :p
https://www.amazon.com/beyerdynamic-Amiron-high-end-stereo-headphone/dp/B07VVC1KH3?th=1 listed as $549 but there's a $50 off coupon available there to make it $499 at checkout.

There are also a few "Amazon Warehouse" listings for $450 and under, which from my personal experience, the amazon warehouse listings that state "will come in original packaging", 80% of the time often turn out to be the box got scuffed up or damaged, but contents inside brand new (not customer returns), and are still covered under the same awesome amazon return policy, so can always return them for any reason or something was wrong with them.
Thank you, I did pick up a new Beyerdynamic Amiron Copper Wireless @ $526 through Amazon. I could have waited till Labor day to see if any discounts came up, but I've been cruising the Beyerdynamic vendors around the world and they are all selling out of the models I am interested in, so I thought I should act now.

I was hoping to pick up a new Beyerdynamic DT 990 Premium Black 600 ohm, but they've all sold out, unless someone can provide a link? :)

$370 for Beyer Amiron Homes on newegg using coupon. Crazy arse deal. https://www.newegg.com/black-beyerdynamic-717525-earbud/p/N82E16826380026
I got an Amrion Home. I am using a modestly cheaper OCC copper cable I bought from Lunashops at $50. Works perfectly in balanced if that is what your asking. You just need to get a balanced cable in whatever balanced termination your source needs.
Actually I am having 2nd thoughts about the order, I've asked for help customizing the Beyerdynamic Amiron Copper Wireless headphone for balanced wired connection, but no one wants to do it... it's too bad the Beyerdynamic Amiron Copper Wireless doesn't have the same independent connections on each cup like the wired Beyerdynamic Amiron Home version.

Still looking for the DT 990 Premium Black 600 ohm, if anyone spots one :)

Update: I received the Amiron Wireless Copper a couple of days ago now, and really like it. I won't be sending it back any time soon. It is a bit heavy and hot in this heat wave we are having in California right now, but I still spent 10+ hours so far listening on my FiiO M15 and Topping A90, I'll check it out on the BTR5 / BTR3k later. Bluetooth is great as well as on 3.5mm wired.
