as far as i was aware, Shure is like the Apple of the pro music world.. They never have sales. they don't need to, people/fans will buy them regardless as they built up their fanbase/rep. that or they are just stingy.. not even their amazon or other retailer listings have any breathing room and are exactly same price as buying direct from shure (just like Apple) :p

only time you may be tossed a bone is during maybe black friday (tiny not worth the wait discount) or when a product is being discontinued or is superseded by a newer model.

as for the Shure KSE1200, they released back in 2018 at 1999 and today are still 1999, so yeah, price wont be budging anytime soon unless Shure decides to release a replacement model to take over that price point or discontinues it 10-20+ years from now...

:) Looks like that, yes. No alternative electrostatic IEMs for KSE 1200 from any other company? Sonion EST drivers don't seem to be so much like pure electrostatic.

for those who missed out on the last time an openbox Hifiman Jade II Electrostatic System (Headphone+Energiser/Amp) was posted, looks like Hifi Heaven now has one for sale at $1299: https://hifiheaven.net/shop/HiFiMAN-Jade-II-Electrostatic-Headphone-System-Open-Box

Cost $2500 new, or generally around 1700-2000 used.. so getting one for just $1300 is a steal imo for this full electrostatic headphone system.

Also if you have or can find a coupon code for hifiheaven, possibly a better price? (i dont have or know of any, but do see the option at checkout).

I snagged one back over on page 2027/2028 the last time an openbox deal was posted. The Jade II quickly became my "go-to" headphones and offer a similar listening experience to my previous go-to Audeze LCD-MX4 but in my honest opinion, the Jade II are far less cumbersome and far less heavy than those for long use/listening experiences. I have it set up to my right and have a record player plugged into it's RCA inputs, while I have a Monolith THX AAA dac/amp plugged into it's XLR inputs (https://i.imgur.com/qcWdr5L.jpg).

Also nearly forgot to mention this back when I saw the price drop, but for those who may be interested in upgrading the plugs for their amps, but aren't the type who could ever bring themselves to ever be crazy enough to spend hundreds, yet alone $60+ for budget "audiophile" AC plugs, there are these:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YS2BL9P (4.9ft)

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QZ1XWKX (6.5ft)

I didn't post about these earlier because I wanted to get and try it out to ensure they were of good quality and preferably not burn down people's homes :) However upon receiving the first one, I was immediately satisfied with the quality, thick af, heavy, thick af connectors, and so far no fires/issues after weeks of use  and pretty much visually comparable to waudio or other branded ac power cords that cost in the $60-150 price range that I've seen around.

I ordered the 4.9ft version, used it to upgrade my Hifiman Jade II amp's powercord..
here's a comparison versus the stock cable: https://i.imgur.com/S18xGnt.jpg

However since I got another one to replace the ac cord for my computer as it looks good, like a custom cable mod brand ac cable, for the typical gaming computer aesthetic without paying 'cable mod' brand prices and far thicker, and have had no issues with it either.

Even if it isn't made with true "audiophile" grade/quality components, the aesthetics alone imo are well worth the price.

Power cables? There's no such thing. It's t h i c c copper wire and commodity connectors.

These cables are pretty and I'd rock those. But audiophile power cables are complete bunk (not as bad as audiophile cat6 though).

Can we get a pic of your rig with these cables in?

exactly why I'd never could dare purchase a snakeoil audiofoolery power cable for those outrageous prices from $60-1000+ that you usually see them go for, but for just $19.99, sign me up, mainly just for the fact the cord looks nice and looks serious with how thick it is.

Can we get a pic
As for a pic of it, not sure what there is to show :p https://imgur.com/a/JDV4hUn umm.. yay power cord i guess?, plugged into a Jade II!!!!!.. very exciting!!!!! erm *cough*boring*cough* ... the pic I posted in the previous comment of it next to its stock power cord was better: https://i.imgur.com/S18xGnt.jpg

They do look cool, but one very important factor: they do not appear to be UL rated. At least the Monoprice 14AWG power cables ($5-$15) are UL rated.

Warning: that link is to power cords with NEMA 6-20 plug (240V), not for standard US 120V household outlets (NEMA 5-15).

These are the thick 14AWG, 5-15 power cords I purchased from Monoprice: https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=5292
A great benefit is the variety of lengths from 1ft to 25ft. I had power cords that were coiled up because they are too long, and I replaced them with shorter cords that are only the needed length, cleaning up cord clutter. The cost is only $1.39 to $12.99 each depending on length.
