Thanks for this!

I've been wanting a good closed-back for when I don't want to use IEMs and have wanted to try the Focal sound.

I saw in the Elegia thread that these had gone for $430 shipped recently but I had missed the deals. So I decided to wait until the deal came around again.

I kept checking the Elegia page on Adorama for the past month or so (and prices on other sites), and especially around the 4th expecting a sale, but the page kept displaying $890 so I thought I'd just have to wait longer. I'm usually good at finding deals, even when others can't, but not this time.

But your specific link showed the price at $430 (and even when I went to the site via google it still stated the price at $890) so I jumped on it. They should be here this Thurs!
Was that for a brand new unit, or one of Open Box units?

Brand new! Fully warrantied as well. Hell of a deal (I hopped on it too haha).
I got mine in yesterday and they're great... The Elegias are slated to be discontinued but I needed a good closed back headphone
as it seems everyone in NYC has gotten hold of fireworks... I must've looked at 20 reviews online and the only negative I could find
that is true was the microphonics from the included cables... There's plenty of bass...Enjoy!

A few sites had it spelled out and I believe there was a thread on Reddit about it...
Search for "elegia discontinued"...

Someone shared this on the Soul thread: Meier Audio are having a summer/pandemic sale with some pretty good prices.

And to add something nice to the thread, Meier Audio is running a summer sales with very very sweet prices. I have to say the DACCORD FF + JAZZ FF combo is amongst my favourite headphone audio components. There's even a CLASSIC available. Happy shopping. :)

Been looking to replace my HF5's which were lost and your post led me to these...ER3XR's for $107

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076652HPH

PS - if you're not a fan of Active Noise Cancellation, these do the trick passively but you have to be ok with the 'fit'

Nice Find... I just ordered them... I have the shure se215's and se535's with balanced and
unbalanced cables so the mmcx connector on the ER3XR sealed the deal for me...:L3000:

Due to their more budget pricing, I would like to try the ER3XR. I have heard their sound signature is very close to the ER4 with a 20 or 23 OHM resistor inline with the ER3. If that is true, does anyone have a link to a recommended resistor to buy? It sounds like fun to be able to have 2 different sound sigs of both in one IEM to play with. I am not sure what it would look like? I suppose some type of adaptor that has a female 3.5mm on one end to a male 3.5mm? Hopefully something that is plug and play.

TIA
