I just sold my Klipsch HP3s. I paid full price. $1200 is a lot, but they are very good, and had the best packaging I’ve ever seen for headphones. I think they should’ve gone for $1000 new. These are definitely worth $699. If they drop any lower, they’ll be a steal. They sound awesome on tubes

I was looking at the HP3, but I thought I read some place that they definitely are not a neutral can, but maybe more mid-forward... my preference is more neutral or slightly v-shaped. Any thoughts or advice? If it helps, the cans I dislike the most would be the HD650 (I know, I will be bundled up and sent to a re-education camp for comments like that!). The cans I like the most are the Elex and so far the Ora GrapheneQ.

They are not mid forward at all, but very v shaped. Lots of bass and extended treble. Mids take a back seat, but are good nonetheless.

Those look a lot like their Edge ANC headphones that they ran on Indiegogo. I picked up a pair and used them... once. I don’t recall the details, but they really weren’t very good for either sound or ANC...

Wow, I have not heard the name Nakamichi in some thirty odd years. It used to be a very solid company making tape decks, pre-amps and power amps.
I also think the only company that got two drivers to properly work in a headphone is 1More.
