The DT1350 sounds great, is well made and travels easily.
The Amperior sounds great, low Ohms makes it amp picky, it is more bulky to travel with, and the d_ _ _ _ size adjustment just s_ _ _ _ . Making it a pain to wear. I like the sound a little better than the DT 1350 however.

I have both as well, don't get me wrong, sometimes I like what the 1350 has to offer. I just think the Amperior has the more natural presentation. The 1350 does some Audiophile things better. Others will hear it differently.
Similar model, I would be tempted by Beyer's T51p for a sale price. Supposedly an improved DT1350 right? I loved the T51p when I heard it RMAF, seems like it would make a great portable.
Just wanted to say thanks to whomever posted the KEF IEM deal. Out of all the IEMs I've owned they are my favorite except for maybe the AN16 which have a different signature.
I also have both. I bought the DT1350 from Adorama at the sale price shortly after Black Friday. I am still trying to decide which one I like better! The DT1350 isolates better but the Amperior is more efficient. There are also reports of larger than normal variations among DT1350 samples.
I am not sure yet. Sorry. I have only used the DT1350 as bedside headphones out of a multi-band radio; this is also my main use for the Amperior, and may be unfair to the DT1350, which have higher impedance and are less efficient.

I've been eyeing these and the Amperior for a while...But currently have the m100 on order for around the same price. Any thoughts on which I should roll with as my next portable? Concerned about comfort and how well it'll work for flight travel.
In a comparison, I prefer the Amperior sound. Listening to either without a direct comparison allows me to enjoy "the one I am with". I find the DT 1350 easier to travel with, more secure wearing/comfortable and provides better isolation, thus I generally take the DT 1350 when I am traveling by plane.
Just one old guys opinion,

PS I now have the Oppo PM3, it may be difficult not to take them on my next travels.

Agree with the above, reach for the Amperior first generally, enjoy either if I happen to pick it up. (reach for the On1 now before either of these, but that kind of cycles in and out of rotation)

I took the PM3 on a plane trip and it was not very good at blocking out plane rumble. made it very hard to enjoy the music and so i ended up using sony Z5s more, which arent particularly known for isolation, but which did a better job at reducing the low rumble than the PM3.
I hear ya. Some things on MD seems to function like Kickstarter projects where they queue up the cash upfront and the delivery dates become a fill in the blank with a few updates stating "....we're working hard on it...expect another update soon..."
