Well I love wearing my HE1000s while I'm biking, but I have to careful that the headphone cord going back to my EF-6 amp doesn't get caught in the spokes or get pulled tight (I ride around in tiny circles a lot!)

As long as your bike is sporting a sophisticated roll cage to protect from stray deers, oncoming traffic, headfiers and other man eating animals.. I support your actions.. must be fastastic sound on the go.

I've found Senn 650's to be great ear muffs (though not good in a noisy area). And, the cute barrista liked them when I had them on

(not that I'm young enough or single enough to do anything about that, of course...)

The afterthought killed me

Biking with the HEK...hmmmm. could work. I view with Philips S2, sound good on a bike and let me hear cars and other important sounds (headphones not really advisable for biking, but they make the ride so enjoyable). Seems the bars on the HEK would generate more noise that you might want, and friction. Maybe try it one of these days. (again, May scare off women, children, and animals with the look).

1st Gen. Schiit Modi on Amazon dropped from $89 to $79 w/ Prime shipping.
They still have 99 of these left.

too bad its not the optical version so I can use it with my Asus DG and the O2 from massdrop. I need to look for a good alternative for the same price....or I could just go with the Modi 2? Though I kind of want to spend more on a DAC just in case later on I buy something better than the 02.

Maybe...
