For the JDS 2, would it be better to have the RCA inputs than just the 3.5mm input?

I honestly want to get the JDS O2 after seeing how it dropped to 100 bucks (Plus tax of course). Plus having the Power set up in the back is a no brainer.

The Koss is $700 on Amazon right now too ($709?  something like that).  One of these day I gotta try it.  I wonder if someone will have one at RMAF...

$75 is right there for me to finally try the o2 sound. $107 for the JDS is a great too if you plan on using it a lot. I was looking at them for a while, the price jds prices holds up well even used.

Yes--at $70 shipped a significant number of folks will find a great basic amp to be within their budget for the first time.

Massdrop is good at addressing problems discovered or occurring shortly after delivery, which is the most likely time for this to occur.  If something happens later, $70 almost becomes a throw away when factoring in shipping, delays and inconvenience of dealing with those problems--certainly a reasonable cost/risk point.

I've never heard one either, Jude just wrote up on it recently but from what people say it's a lot of sound for the money and that's not considering the warranty or the fact that it has an amp with line level input.
Yep, saw that deal and read Jude's review as well. Started thinking about it but looked at camelcamelcamel which shows they've gone as low as $540 on Amazon and have been below $600 several times including November last year.

There are definitely some 'high-value' opportunities around the $400-700 (T1, ESP-950, HD700, Alpha Dogs, etc.)...hoping to get a little better deal on one of these around Black Friday this year.

I like @KG Jag's comments regarding the Massdrop Objective 2 amp. Some of the comments left on Massdrop seemed to be biased opinions, instead of stating the facts. My experience with Massdrop is nothing but great. Although not all the drops were perfect. For example, I got a K7xx that had the rattle problem. Massdrop immediately issued an RMA and refunded the money.

I already got a JDS O2 and I love it. I decided to join the O2 drop just to show these enthusiastic young folks at Massdrop some support. Keep up a good work.

Koss was at RMAF last year and had the 950s on display.

I've also had nothing but great support from Massdrop even though I've had 4 orders with product issues. Fast turnaround time and good communication.

Just want to thank the posters who posted the Westone Adventure Beta for $40...not sure why they got no love (or even attention), maybe because the Alpha (which I haven't heard) got really mixed reviews. I really like these...have listened to them much more than many iems I spent much more on. They isolate REALLY well, just about as good as my Etymotic ER-4, and are really comfortable. They work fine out of my Pono direct, though they remind me a bit of the Senn 650, in that they sometimes seem to have a bit of that "veil" with just the dap, but when I listen to Pono line out into MicroZOTL or Ray Samuels HR-2, they are clear, open, detailed, goods bass, scale up nicely. I posted about them on the Discovery thread, got a lot of push back on them, then conversation went back to the latest Chinese iem. They are really sensitive to placement, don't get them exactly right, and they sound distant. I think they are up there in deals with the old Martin Logan 90 deal (though they originally listed for more). My opinion, of course, but for me, it was $40 well spent.
