The Deals DISCUSSION Thread (READ THE FIRST POST!!!)

Razordog has the best deal right now: $239 for b-stock. Not likely to ever see any better price from a retailer. These are most likely customer returns where someone just decided the headphone wasn't for them. Razordog is a popular vendor on Head-Fi with a good reputation. If I didn't already have HE-400s and were looking to buy, I wouldn't hesitate to get those from Razordog.

Thanks! If I couldn't get a W1000x, I will grab this one!

Sol Republic Master Tracks $111 on Amazon
camelcamelcamel shows this as lowest price
Gunmetal color only. Others are $125-130

Except they're pretty bad. Good for gifting, I suppose.

I was very pleasantly surprised by their sound when I briefly auditioned them at a fye store.

FWIW, Best Buy had them on a Daily Deal for $99 last week...so we may see them pretty soon at that price.  They currently have them at $115 (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sol-republic-master-tracks-mfi-over-the-ear-headphones-gunmetal/8416044.p)

Agree with last post, though.  The Master Tracks are a definite notch up from their other versions.  Depending on the sound signature you're going for, they're an decent value around $100 to $115.

That said, you can get the UE6000 for $80 on Amazon which is almost as solid in the bass and isn't as wonky in the treble...to my ears a much better value!

On another Sol Republic note...our local Barnes & Noble store had their inventory discounted %50 (Tracks for $50, Jax for $20) over the weekend; online as well http://www.barnesandnoble.com/p/sol-republic-tracks-on-ear-headphones-black/26335298?ean=817210010169

Where does one keep in tune with newegg coupons?

Also, their mailing list usually has a few littered through it, then at the bottom, there is always at least three generic codes.

Well, got my Meelec random order in, got a M6P and M9P as I pretty much expected.  I can't complain being able to swap out my M6 with one with a mic, and I'm guessing the M9P I got is the first gen of the model.  That one I'll see if I can find a friend that can use it, as well as the replaced clear M6.  I'll miss the look of that one, its alot nicer than the light blue to look at.  Either way, hopefully I'll make 2 random friends happy at a surprise present.

Is that a good deal or will there be a better deal? Amazon has been selling those for $299, right?

I thought Razordog was selling demos for cheaper than that...
