Caveat emptor, I don't think I've seen 1 positive review of those headphones anywhere. Except maybe that one guy who makes unboxing videos, who said he'd "wear them to a party"

If that's the case I guess the Newegg deal wasn't really a deal after all. To be honest I don't know too much about the Urban Ravers series. I just posted them at that price because of the previous post about them being on sale for the same price.

In the most recent 5 months of the thread "Rank Order The Headphones That you Own," the Sennheiser Momentums rank above the Koss PortaPro by persons who have both:
 

1. Person 1:  Ranks Momentum at # 2 on list of 14 headphones, with PortaPro at #13 of 14;
2. Person 2:  Momentum at 4 of 6; PortaPro at #6 of 6.

They are two totally different headphones in different price ranges. It's hard to compare the two. Yes the Momentum is better, but it's closed. Portapro is open.

+1. Portapro is one of the top open choices in its price range while the Momentum is a solid closed performer in its price range. Generally the more money you spend, the better sound you get but that's not always the case.

I think the mometums sound substantially better than the portapros with much better build quality, but from value for money perspective alone, the portapro wins easily
