No gen 1. I don't have a problem with them just took awhile to get use to them. I can now use for 3 or 4 hrs without issue. Plus he got them for $76.00 new. That will make easier to wear LOL.

My wife's was that price and she still made me get her something else.  She found them to be uncomfrtable after a while and they got tangled in her hair. I tried them for a while and also found them uncomfortable and muddy/veiled.

I got her a CAL! instead and it's much better except for build quality.

Comfortable for some not for others. I have no problems but it took some time to get use to them. As for sound I think is very good. Solid base great detail and decent soundstage for closed. As we know its all subjective. Can't comment on the hair thing as I don't have much left.

So I had some bonus points on EarphoneSolutions and with the Audeo special, just bought one pair for like $13 bucks. Hopefully they are good. Thanks to whoever posted it for the reminder!

I've bought 4 of the used-like new on-ears from amazon for $54, makes great gifts for friends who only used the ear buds that came with their phone.  All have been really like-new, only the boxes were scratched and the seal broken.

MP4 Nation 15% Storewide Coupon: "

Particularly interesting one: E17K + HM5 bundle for
$178.07
 after coupon.

Also, I'm kinda-sorta interested in the E12A (
$135.57
after coupon) which is considered by others as "better" than the previously mentioned Cayin C5.
Just very curious about portable amps.
Any input on whether it is a good deal or no?

I believe the E12A is the one specifically for IEM's.  So you know, depends what you're using it for...

The E12A is indeed designed for optimizing amping IEMS with low impedance.  it has less grain than the C5 but less dynamic power.
with the right em this is a good thing.and it sounds great.
However it should be noted the E12A will drive low impedance regular headphones also, and do so with grace. thats a good deal
for the E12A at that price.  The new ALO audio Rx optimized for IEMS  is a TOTL level performing beast for IEMS
but its 350.00, 299 on sale last weekend during the LA audio show. it has no grain at all and provides audio bliss of rims at a price.
the interconnects you use between your source and these amps are critical also.
I just took a pure silver headphone cable a friend made for his ON1s and used it instead of the Filo upgrade mini interconnect and
the sound upgrade was sporadically better., much for flow rhythm and pace and better tone.

I bought my Mom overears used like new and they had never been touched just no retail box. $110 shipped when they were pretty much $200 plus most places at the time.
