can anyone comment on the quality of the cable on the Westone Adv Beta? trying to get a cable with mic for my fx850

It's cloth covered. Pretty sturdy, the Adv series are supposed to be fitness headphones. Strain reliefs seem durable
However, Westone puts rubber closer to the connector than other manufacturers do. So I wouldn't recommend buying it as a replacement cable for an IEM from a brand other than westone. It may not fit, I couldn't connect my westone cable to my Shure SE315 or Ultimate Ears UE900 because the rubber got in the way.

  Was able to snag a Like New pair of 650's for $212 from Amazon today at lunch. Thanks for posting these the last few days. Can't wait to compare the 650 with my 600 and see which one I prefer.

The HD650 at $200 is going to make me cry.  Oh well, I've given up on selling it for a reasonable price.  Instead I bought a Project Solstice so I can listen to it again with that amazing Garage 1217 tube action.  Take that, Amazon!

In all seriousness, I think it's due to the recent sale. Ppl probably bought it, found that they didn't like it and returned to Amazon.

Sorry, that was the last one.  But, they keep popping up.  Like a crack addict looking for his/her next hit, I have been refreshing the Amazon page for the last 2 days and today, I got my fix.  I seriously have a problem.  Is there an AA center for recovering audio junkies?

I would love to see the next model be named H699, and have the comfort of the HD500 series and the HD 700, but the exact same sound as the HD 650 :eek:

there is NO CURE.  you can hide your wallet i suppose...but you are ab eternal quest now for the mystical Holy Grail of Sound Quality that

Do you have Chane speakers already? If not, then this center is not a very good choice for your setup. Your front three speakers should timbre match (see item #2 in this Speaker FAQ).

But if you do have Chane speakers, I say go for it :evil:

I do, got them in the Feburary drop and have been quite pleased, watching movies much more often now too.
