It's a Head-fi thing. Any link you post ends up getting messed with. For example, I just typed the following address:

http://www.google.com

but if you copy the link (not the text) and then paste, you'll see (again, with the space inserted):

https ://redirect.viglink.com/?format=go&jsonp=vglnk_152306088521914&key=1e99669452acedd7650a94861c9354cb&libId=jfon33i90101zlp1000DA5r38eced&loc=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.head-fi.org%2Fthreads%2Fthe-deals-discussion-thread-read-the-first-post.692119%2Fadd-reply&v=1&out=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F&ref=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.head-fi.org%2Fthreads%2Fthe-deals-discussion-thread-read-the-first-post.692119%2Fpage-1725&title=Reply%20To%20The%20Deals%20DISCUSSION%20Thread%20(READ%20THE%20FIRST%20POST!!!)%20%7C%20Head-Fi.org&txt=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com

although why viglink redirects the original Amazon link to Walmart is beyond me.
Odd. When I copy paste that link, I get the simple google link.

But when I click on some of the prior links, I see the viglink redirect. Im not sure I’m happy about that. One more tracking company.

Fascinating! I copied and pasted your link, and only got the Google address. But then I remembered that I run the Ghostery extension on my Chrome browser. Ghostery is a privacy extension that blocks advertising trackers. I opened the Ghostery control panel, and indeed it is blocking VigLink on this page.

If I turn off blocking for VigLink, the link has all the same kind of crap as in your post. It is tracking information that identifies who you are and where you are going on the web. The information is collected and sold to advertisers.

NPR Fresh Air ran a story on the topic (actually they've done more than one):

Definitely legit. I’ve purchased from them several times. Quick, even when fulfilling Black Friday specials, when I assume they were very busy.

HiFiMan HE400i at BuyDig for $180, down from about $220 to $250 at most places:
https://www.buydig.com/shop/product...r-Planar-Magnetic-Headphones-Dark-Blue-Chrome

Use the code: 50OFF

Regarding recent build issues: There has been a recent trend of the headband breaking at the plastic arm that connects to the earcups. The problem is fairly widespread from newer batches of the 400i. It's hard to get a read on just how common this problem is, but my own 400i was purchased through a similar sale from BuyDig in December and broke about a month ago. HiFiMan was very fast getting a replacement to me with no questions asked. It took about a week from initial inquiry to problem solved. Great customer service in that regard. If you are tempted by this sale, you should be aware of that. I still think the deal is worth it, all things considered, but you may feel differently. Read up on the issue on the 400i thread or the 560 thread (same issue):

Feeling lucky? The HiFiMan HE560 is at Adorama for $350, down from the going rate of $500:
https://www.adorama.com/hmhe560.html?sdtid=11472611&emailprice=t&

These headphones are phenomenal in sound quality, and go toe-to-toe with LCD-2's. Killer deal, buuuutt....

It's hard to get a read on just how common this problem is, and it seems less common than the same issue with the 400i. Additionally, there are plans out there for 3-d printed yoke replacements, and individuals who have bee making them for a modest cost (< $20). Check the 560 impressions/discussion thread for more info if you're interested. I will second @phthora's opinion. For $350, these provide great planar sound. They do require a fair amount of power, so you're probably not going to drive them out of your phone.
