Considering that this thread is about DEALS and not just SALES, there is definitely a subjective value-judgment attached to posting something here. In other words, by posting someone has decided that, based on what they know about the product and the price, the sale is a good enough value to be considered a deal. It's more like a positive review of a sale, rather than simply a report of a sale. Vendors posting here entirely miss the point of the thread and undermine the value of what are, essentially, honest recommendations from fellow consumers.

$399 is still way too much money for 1793, you can find R2R DAC's in that price range.

FYI...for those considering it, the iFi Audio Micro iDSD Black seems to be a pretty unique device. It is a DSD capable Dac/Amp that is actually portable (6-12 hr battery life). It has very high output power capabilities (4000mW@16Ohms), SPDIF in/out, RCA out, and other features like a well designed bass boost and crossfeed.

Instead of purchasing the iFi Audio Micro iDSD Black, I decided to split the functionality up and ended up purchasing the Micro iCan SE and the Nano iDSD -- battery powered, smaller footprint, headphone out but low output power...good enough for coffee shops...for $429 combined.

That said, had the iFi Audio Micro iDSD Black been $399 when I pulled the trigger, I probably would have got it instead.

Regarding iFi Audio products, I've owned several (iCan, iDac, iTube, iCan SE, Nano) and been very pleased with the sound and the value!
