There is still no better picture than a Panasonic ZT60 and VT60 1080p Plasma. I buy and sell TV's and I have my choice of just about anything out there. I have a 65" ZT60 and haven't found anything yet to make my want to give it up. You can't do better.

BTW, I have another one for sale. I'm in Oregon if anyone is interested. LOL.

I have a hard time going with a new, discontinued unit, but appreciate your sharing your thoughts.  I appreciate TV tech shifts continually and 1080p content will be around for a good long time.  I also would like something in the 75" range.  I'm pretty settled on that size although I could go up to to 80"  The 65's look great unit you see one next to a 75".

  Hi All
Emotiva is having a sale (approx 20% off almost everything)
www.emotiva.com
I have several Emo products and have been very happy with them (I have no affiliation with Emo, I'm just a customer).
Someone recently posted a powered monitor deal, so just in case this helps anyone -
I recently acquired the Emo Airmotiv 5S powered monitors (now $279 for a pair) and these sound pretty good (using Audio-gd NFB 11.32 as DAC/pre).

Just a reminder and word of clarification that the Emotiva Holiday Sale is still on until January 2016. Open the spoiler below to see the products' sales prices.

Given that Black Friday isn't all that far away, I decided to go ahead and create a Black Friday thread.
http://www.head-fi.org/t/786884/black-friday-cyber-moday-deals-2015

The 2014 Black Friday was really great with people posting crazy deals. hopefully can do the same this year :)

I freakin missed it, probably because I unsubscribed to this thread during BF to save my wallet. And because I bought a 65" tv already for bf lol

last year, we had a separate one to keep all the good deals organized in one place so its easy to keep up with them. it was a pretty big thread as well unless you missed it somehow?

What in the.. well I suppose that's not bad to use for transporting data. Hmm, wonder if it'll work with an otg cable.

I'm not very convinced with that brand for storage, even the OTG drive I got flaked out rather fast. I guess $35 isn't much of a risk, but the data transfer specs are way low for a SSD (even my makeshift external SATA3 -> USB3 SSD drive gets closer to 200+ Mb/s). But as I said, not too much of a risk

Probably just a makeshift ssd with 4 32gb sticks inside with a hub...haha just kidding

I have a 65ZT60 and this statement is mostly true, the TV is amazing especially calibrated by D-nice, except that the 65EC9700 OLED tv is better as it does have infinite blacks. Value electronics had the LG OLED winning its last TV shootout.

It's not QUITE that hoopty - but yes it's more accurate to call it a USB 3.0 thumbdrive in stainless steel flat form factor.  It's a USB 3.0 controller not a SATA controller but it's also self-powered via USB requiring no additional power.  So definitely has it's uses but no not the fastest or most compact option available ...

Honestly, I wouldn't even be surprised

What if said hub had the data striped in RAID across all four drives? That could easily boost read and write times if implemented correctly. Sorry... nerdy computer geek moment.

Yes, but that would require a SATA controller and esata port and then it wouldn't be a self-powered USB 3.0 mobile drive ...  And be prone to data corruption unless you doubled the number of chips and implemented 0 +1 andddd, dammit now you've got me doing it.

Don't make me bring back "Mike the Pious" so soon ...
