I hope its more than 5 hours, like at lest 3 more. Right now I run out of HP-P1 at 7 hrs.

Yeah but the hp p1 doesn't output 1500mw either. For only 80mw per channel, I would at least want 7-10 hours of battery life. For the m8 to output almost 20x more power while only delivering 2 less hours of usage is quiet a feat in my book.

 Now that it's been confirmed to be 6.5 hours of battery life, is really, really, really impressive considering 1500mw of output. That kind of power, with providing a good dac, and good battery life just screams technology and engineering. Kudos to you Michael!

What a great marvel of engineering. I would have been fairly happy with about half that battery life, considering the power output. Great job!

Yes, compelling fact (hopefully), 6.5 hours for 1500mw is impressive.
