This is neat stuff, loving the bass impact and the mids...on my pair of headphones XD
how's yours

On the 880s on this song I really enjoyed the clarity and soundstage, just the way the instruments feel and how everything is layed out

. I personally don't feel much bass impact, don't know how it is for the ones using a nice tube amp with these though

Okay so that's with the power supply plugged in, wait a minute, actually no since the power capacity on the DT880s is 100mW....what about when it runs on battery?

about the same whether it runs on battery or is being charged.

Most of the time you would actually be listening at approx. 1 mW with peaks of approx. 10 mW.

1 mW = 96 dB SPL (according to manufacturer's spec.)
If you use "what's his name's" measurements, 0.514 V = 90 dB SPL
or 5.14 V = 110 dB SPL

1 mW = 775 mV, 1.29 mA @ 600 Ohms
10 mW = 2.45 V, 4.0 mA @ 600 Ohms

Hi guys ,
I got my dt 880 600ohm today and i have a few questions.I'm runing them into a fiiO e9 amp wich rans straight into my onboard soundcard from pc(no sound card or other dac).I keep my amp on low gain this is what i used with my dt 770 250ohm and i noticed i have to push the volume a bit higher. Is it recommended to used low or high gain?when i turned to high i had to lower volume by a lot,but i remember i didnt like high gain on my dt 770(it made my ears tired faster).I'm at work atm i only listened to them for about 20 minutes, will test more when i get home,i just wanted to make sure i use the right gain, and if gain influences sound or just volume.
tks

High gain is better more room for you headphone and more gain. You can probably hear on low gain that it gives very little bass at low volumes?

Random question... has this pretty much become the DT880 thread or is there somewhere else 880 Pro/Premium-250 users have been posting?
