Those ear cups are gorgeous, but ugh. Once again, the full product ruins it.

yea it looks like a Darth Beyer and a Denon D2000 had a baby and then they decided to throw it off a cliff.  This is the guy who wears those:

I just can't handle those types of headbands in general. The padded headband with the giant thick wires that go up and over them. Tons of sets do that and I think they all look goony as hell. To me, the best looking sets aren't giant a futuristic, they're sleek. 
 
Like, the Aedle Carbon VK-1 just gobsmacked me with how pretty they are.

Yeah, they're pretty wicked. The logo should have been in matte tarnished silver.

Yeah I've only had mine for a day or so but I already like them much better than the HD700. I think the logo would look better in a silver too but I think the AD1000X logo is in silver already. Gotta diversify lol

The first is plain looking, but the second is just plain hideous to me.

Well of course this thread is entirely taste, but I have to agree with you. I think it's the aggressive look they have makes me feel like they're trying to appear edgy. I almost kind of expect them to have glowing LEDs too sometimes.
