The BEST-LOOKING Headphones

I'm pretty sure it's American, which makes no sense.

It is American!

I can understand that. I had a pair of DT990s and they were quite nice to look at. Very well put together too.

Good pull, the DT990's Premiums are nice looking but I prefer the T1's out of Beyerdynamics line, looks-wise

i've always liked the look of the Shure 1840

Oh wow that's a great one too!  How did I forget that one...

All:  Let's try to keep this thread on topic fellas.

  Ever dropped one...

(Yes that is the SA1000 but the SA5000 has been reported to break like this too.)

Weird, my SA5000 had been through hell and back and I didn't even consider the possibility that they could break like that. I can't even tell you how many times they'd fallen to the ground, but I will concede to the fact that magnesium is on the thin side and not as durable, but I honestly felt that they seemed more sturdy than the HD650.

Without question

A bit glossy on the pads for my taste (this picture doesn't show it) but yes, the Orpheus is ******* beautiful. The golden stators (another thing this picture doesn't show :/) are really something to behold.

I wish it was on it's official stand in that picture though. One of my favorite headphone stands ever as well.

^ Agree with you. Even though I own an HD800 and used to own DT880, I prefer the understated and classy looks of DT880.
The HD800 looks a bit futuristic and plasticky, but as I only uses it at home, so the look is not that critical.

Agreed.  I was auditioning the T1/T5P and HD800, and as much as I liked the sound of the HD800, I just find the design to be what the 90's thought the year 2011 would look like.  I'm a big fan of Beyerdynamic's classy, understated look.

But my favorite looking headphone would have to be the Ultrasone Edition 10.

Yes to the former (Beyers), no to the latter (Ed10).

The Orpheus I got to listen to didn't have all that glossy of pads (?) although yes the golden stats are incredible in person. One of those headphones that will never be replaced.

Hope I get to hear one again at some point in my life...

These are amazing, it's a shame they aren't more common. I'm not sure where to find them. Is noisy motel the only place?

Those ear cups are gorgeous, but ugh. Once again, the full product ruins it.

Looks ugly as hell. Like a headset from MASH or something.
