All this talk of windows has me thankful that I am in a Mac household. I use a Dell from work but it's corporate's problem when it eats itself...but like what Jerick just said, usually the problem stems from other apps, even MS's own office suite...

Know what caused the latest problem I had with WinXP and Office 2010? One of the updates somewhere along the last couple months destroys the link to the Office 2010 apps in kernal32.dll. At first, thought it was all the updates related to the new Japanese era calendar thing, but then found another update that made no mention of being related to Japanese calendar updates. UGH.

Did anyone ask if this was the Windows help forum? No? Good :p

In other news, I'm hoping to get a shipping notification in the next couple weeks for my Tin T3. I hope it sounds to my taste because it looks pretty :D

Well, every laptop in my house, which at this point is the silly number of 8 (mine, wife's, the kid's, and 3 laptops are attached to TV's for HTPC use) all use Win 10 and all are functioning fine. And they are updated to the latest updates. I'm in no way defending MS, just stating that not all machines running Win 10 are doomed, lol.

Never thought about it that way. I was only talking about this box. Got 2 notebooks running 10 with zero issues. I did get an opinion that name brands seems to be fine but clones may have issues, which is what I see here.

I just got this BT IEM for my son for his birthday. He's in Iceland right now so will have to wait to see what his reaction is.
He is not a 'cable' guy like me so was interested in seeing how this will perform.

I run all sorts of special built white box (clones) systems with no issue with Windows upgrades. You probably have an older system that is not 100% Windows 10 compatible, bad hardware, or a hardware mismatch.

The update tool cleared everything, so if that would be the case then it is still a MS issue. I still have a problem with that explanation when each update caused the OS to be corrupted, but reinstalling it would fix everything. And don't get me started on Office.

I understand where you are coming from. What are the specs of the system? What motherboard, RAM, power supply, hard drive, ssd, ect are you running? Do you run an anti-virus and what version is it? Maybe I can help.

Got the SSD last week and so far all is good. If it starts to act up again I will take you up on that. BTW the HD was tested and it seems to be tip top.

How many remember the Police drama series - Kojak, with Telly Savalas?
.
Here's his youngest daughter, Ariana Savalas, singing with Postmodern Jukebox.
It may not make sense, until you hear her sing - but what comes to mind for me, is "smoked honey"...
.

Thanks for sharing! Love love love her voice and rendition of this song.
