know what you mean about all the temptations. Massdrop sends emails every day. Just got one from Amazon on the Final Audio Design 3000 IEMs I've been considering. $39. Then I find out they are open back. Won't work at all, for me, in a crowded (300+) environment. But, I still want them. Arghhh.

I also had a look at the jp1 after your mention they look really well made and the couple of reviews i read were very positive ...one to watch if i like the gl2

A review of the GL1. Haven't heard these so no idea how they compare to the GL2. The GL2 do have interchangeable cable and real wood earcups. Both a plus to me.

I've bought a lot from Massdrop. I've bought even more from Amazon after reading about a product on Massdrop, because I can get a larger selection, quicker shipping, and/or a lower price.

Joining a couple knife drops motivated me to buy a Chris Reeves Sebenza so that I would no longer be tempted to buy many lower-quality, lower-priced knives.

More topical, I'm expecting my Shozy BK to be delivered today. It will be my first non-Apple (genuine or counterfeit) earbud. I'm pretty excited to hear for myself if they are as great as reviews indicate.
