oh damn, i just purchase AK240, now they release a SS version -.-

Hopefully the differences in SQ is not big.

Get the AK500N (and a BIG BackPack) if you want a real SQ upgrade to the AK240. Only 10.000 grammes more...

I own a 240 and to be honest despite the fact that I always am tempted to trade up to the latest and greatest I have zero interest in a heavier version of the 240 for more money!

I think they really should stop wasting effort on trying to charge more for what amounts to different color coatings and now a stainless steel case.
Use the time to design a replacement...

Totally agreed. Apparently they are trying to squeeze the last ounce of juice from the 240.

The hugo people did the same thing there is a black version now.

For Hugo, they improved certain flaws actually when they released the black version.
Spoke to the guy in the show when they were in Sg last month..Apparently there were a few issues they revised aside from just changing it to black. It looks really gorgeous in black too.
how does the ss improve sound quality? I remember kojo having the same sentiment but theirs were made with that solid brass in mind so I don't find it so dubious..

Hmmm....come on guys, it's obviously only a matter of time before there's a Solid Silver version and then....wait for it.......a SOLID GOLD version*.  We all know that most people will hear a substantial improvement as we go up the $$$ ladder.

Edit:  Opps, I almost forgot the Silver + 1% Gold Version
