I'm planning to purchase an AK120 and I'm curious how its sound compares to Fiio options like the X5iii and X7 (original version). Should I be concerned that the AK120 features technology that's five years old at this point? Any guidance would be great. Thanks in advance.

I have the AK120 titan and in my opinion I still haven’t found a dap that sounds as good and holds as much music as this little guy. Love the portability if it too.

My friend's Astell&Kern AK100 (aka iriver-rwa-ak100) stopped working, and I think the battery finally has died.
The battery has the following markings:
PR-665354N F121 00701AA 7.4WH
472246454746 3.7V 2000mAh.
Li-ion battery.

All links I have found (in this thread) seem to be dead, so if anyone know where I can buy one online I would be thankful.

I have allready tried official channels like Iriver US (support.inc@iriver.com), which could not serve an European customer.
The german support (dm@iriverservice.de) didnt bother to reply, and from the EU based support I just got an bounce back indicating that their email account was full (info.eu@iriver.com).

Until they start providing proper customer service outside the US, this brand is dead for me.

Ak100ii is better budget while sq is almost the same.
IMO modern technology is not a big thing to be consider in audio device.
AKM4497EQ inside A$Ultima sp1000 and PCM1792 - many years ago - inside Senn hdvd800 bring a difference imagine, I cant say which I love more.

If dont need to have Tidal or wifi, shalling M2S is one good option at its price range

Now I use both of 256 and 128 Gb. sd card. It has a little bit error. Sometime when I open my AK120 ,it can't see sd card but I always solve by rebooting ,it works.

Anyone know if you can get AK to ignore ‘The’ in front of an artists name, and list it in its proper alphabetical order?

Obviously I can change a artists tag from ‘The Beatles’ to ‘Beatles, The’ but is there another way?
