I think the only chance there for the short term will be the M5. Too small a screen perhaps to be compared with the M3K, but the BTR3 "embedded" BT features and the M3K capabilities in pure Linux would make it a breeze. And super portable.

@JamesFiiO will the M5 be able to remote control (sorta FiiO Link) the music in the phone? At least for FiiO Music. That would be great, even if it comes later in a FW update.

I recently bought the M9, and I find it to be a great product with great potential. However, there are some things that should be improved to make it really attractive for a broader audience and to really beat the competition. I have presented these suggestions to Fiio fans and had a lot of positive response:

Fiio Music app:
- Needs the ability to edit playlists on the device (i.e. change song order etc.)
- Needs a "play next" option (i.e. to make a song play after the currently playing song)
- When finding an artist through the search function, it should list the artist's albums/songs instead of automatically start playing them.

Sleep mode:
- It seems that the advertised "deep sleep mode" does not work for many users. I.e. the M9 continues to drain the battery when in sleep mode (in my case, from about 80% to about 60-65% over night, with WiFi and Bluetooth turned off). Is this a firmware problem?

With these improvements, I think the M9 will be a much bigger success (complaints about these issues are starting to come in more and more, as I'm sure you've noticed). I would love some kind of response to these requests.

Thank you for your advices.For the edit playlists and play next function,we are already working on it;for the search function,we will improve it in next update.
For the sleep problem,have you install any third-party applications?Some apps will auto start its services in background even you quit it.Maybe you can try to reboot the M9 and do not start any third-party apps to see if it still happens.

> Provide a 'Music Only' mode that optimises the hardware for music playback (like you did for the X5iii).
> Provide a 'Boost' Mode for balanced output power (like you did for the X5iii).
> Allow the home screen of FiiO Music to be configured (for example to show Albums or Folders instead of Recently Played or Most Popular).
> Allow more configuration of FiiO Music appearance (for example how lists are shows, how grids are shown etc.).
> Fix Settings typo ('Audios' should be 'Audio').
