I’ve turned the M11 to full volume with the FH5 balanced in high gain with no music playing and can’t hear any hiss. Guess I’m one of the lucky ones.

I believe when you’re doing a hiss test you’re supposed to play music and turn the volume all the way down. Not playing anything won’t produce any hiss. That’s the same as just plugging your IEMs into a DAP that isn’t powered on.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong. :)

When I say no music playing I mean pausing between tracks. Turning the volume down makes no sense - then you really won’t hear anything? Maybe someone needs to post a short primer on how to find and listen for hiss, because the only hiss I hear is recorded into poorly recorded tracks.

I recently bought the M 11 and it is an impressive bit of kit. One problem which I can’t work round. Every so often, and often is the word, the touchscreen will not respond. I have to click the power button, unlock, double tap the song and it works again..until a few minutes later. Is there a setting I am missing or is this a defective device?

Does anyone know if the x7 series is now dead as that Norwegian parrot? It would be a shame, much as I love the M 9 and M 11it’s so nice to have a device that can be docked and connect to active speakers or hi fi via line out, optical or otherwise. The M designs all have line out on the same side as charging port. Besides,I think the x7 ii is an excellent dap.

No it’s not. It’s dead!
And I love the x7ii,connected to AVI active speakers it’s sublime. I know fiio are bringing out three high end daps but it’s not clear exactly which way they are going. It does seem a shame that they would abandon the concept of being able to dock, connect to other devices whilst keeping the dap fully charged. They built a whole system around it. Clearly interchangeable amp modules are going...but what else.
