So a few months ago i bought a pair of Studio Beats by Dre (ill probably be made fun of for this...) from best buy. I got some service though were i can trade them in whenever i want to. I think im going to do that because ive been having some problems with them and im sure there are better headphones for the money. Im going to best buy today to try out some other ones, but could you guys suggest me a pair. The music i listen to is Indie, Alternative, modern folk, and a bit of rock. Sound quality and clarity is most important to me over anything. Please help me. Thanks

What is your price range?

Sounds like the price he paid for the Beats, them being the most expensive pair (or so) from Best Buy, he could get whatever *they* have.

Which actually, if you look at what is available from them online, there are some good choices.

I would look at the Senns, Pioneers, or AKGs... given those options.

Bose arent much welcome by most members here. I've only tried them briefly and didnt thought there were anything wrong with the headphones themselves, its the price what's so wrong.

They are what, >160$? for that price you could even get some version of the senn HD25, regarded as the best portable around here, and with a good reason. have you read Joker's shootout or portable headphones?

Faceplant, if you look at Joker's thread as stated above, it will show you what headphones are good for your price range.

can someone give me a link to that thread? or explain what's wrong with the bose

The problem with bose: they are overpriced. You can buy something better for the money on another brands.

Ryan, how much is the money you can expend?

Im sure they have more models in store. they have ATH M30 and M40, weird they dont have the M50. and I am certain they have senn's HD25 not the more pricey adidas version but the regular

btw the M40 has a 1/4 jack, besides that is comfortable kind of flat signature but very nice. probably the most comfortable headphone Ive ever tried.
