Sorry REF doesn't have usb output to DAC, but you can connect via AES, IIS, Optical and Coax, REF is set as an hi-end transport, but usb output doesn't qualify that level, that's why we don't do this.
Yes, it has SD card slot.

I agree with you regarding USB. I am wanting to get away from using it, but only USB does DSD with my DAC.
Problem right now is that I like my DAC very much but I am looking towards the future.

I like the fidelity of SD card and ability to get away from network for audio playback.

One more question please, why no HDMI type I2S?
