Not supporting high-res AIFF or ALAC is going to prevent a lot of sales to Western markets.

Not to mention i2s out is only limited at 192Khz ? Why...ohhhh whyyyyy
basically it's because of the clock.
Our current clock only support to 192khz, if change to higher clock, there will be more noise.
And the sound quality of CD format will decrease.

So it's a relatively better plan of this situation, we always put the sound quality in the first place.

I understand that.
If supports to DSD256 or 512, the low bit rate files will be affected, in a worse way, and what people are listening now are still within DSD128 mostly...So is it really worthy to sacrifice the quality for that?
It's not we don't want to do, we are seeking a way to keep the sound quality which is always our priority.

Thanks

Many of the people are listening to HQPlayer which allow to upconvert into DSD512 and even DSD1024.

I know upconvert, but in nature it doesn't add the amount of information, nor improve the quality.
Maybe we should only say it's kinda of tuning...:nerd:

Helloagain. Do I understand right, that now it is not possible to use D300 with Tidal? I have already an onvoice from dealer to pay obe D300. On the dealer website it is stated that Tidal is possible to use with. Where is the truth??? I'm buying it especially for the online service in hope to get a better sound then from Suface 3 pro + Sinxer SU1 usb transport...

Where can I find the detailed difference between D300 and d300ref? Price difference is twice in amount...
You should read the description carefully, LOL
D300REF is totally another level, but you need to be sophisticated to collocate, otherwise D300 is a friendly-to-use transport.

any news about roon?
working on it.
We spent a lot of time on M2pro in last 2 months, thus Roon was laid aside, and now we are back on it, will be available really soon.

Tidal is accesible with Roon, and we will release Roon in a short time which can be updated by firmware.
So don't worry about it, just pay:grinning:

Thanks for the info, but I will wait a bit till roon support is out. Plus to that I will try to save some more money to move to d300ref. Im not sure that normal d300 will be much better then my Sinxer now. But d300ref - I hope it is quite another "story". But Tidal support is NEEDED...!!!
