Did you get rid of your Z1R's?Crossfeed on Chord's stuff is implemented extremely well. For headphones, it's a no brainer

Sony Z1R....listening impressions only
how come?Yep.
Well the Arya's are open, but could you elaborate on the differences? They couldn't compare to the Arya's for me.

Thanks, i've seen it but didn't get the impression you were replacing the Z1R with it.
If @Gamerlingual doesn't get to this before I do, I'll run a comparison tomorrow. My wife's sleeping now, so I can't test the noise isolation capabilities of either headphone at this time.I might have asked already but could someone who have z1r and z7m2 could compare both who does better sound isolation?
What I need is best outside noise isolation, visually z7m2 seems to isolate more. Anyone can share some feedback please

As Sony would never ever redo their discontinued products, I'm actually curious now just how much they butcher it.Apparently the patent has expired and it's free use now.
And... Whether they replicate the defect as well?
let's see how long it last this time?

It's not a copy, it's inspired by. The Hifiman uses a completely differnent driver, different headband. The only thing that is similar to the Sony R10 are the wood earcup shape.

If Hifiman called it something else, people would still say they copied the Sony R10 and accuse them of not being up front. At least they are being up front about the fact that it's an homage to the Sony's.
