Sony Z1R....listening impressions only

Sorry to be a buzzkill-

I owned the Sony MDR-Z1R for a few weeks- sold it, was disappointed with sound.

Bloated bass, zingy treble. Thick sounding? Hard to describe.

YMMV.

I wonder if a different batch had problems of some sort. I'm not hearing any zingy treble at all.

Does anyone have an update in regards to Jude/Tyll swapping units and testing?

Good luck with that....I'm betting they shelve that altogether so as to not create another firestorm. Hopefully I am wrong.
